Our market potential is constantly on the rise, as a growing number of customers look to carbon capture and our company to solve their emissions challenges. Aker Carbon Capture’s project portfolio ranges from concept studies to large EPC (engineering, procurement and construction). We have more than a dozen ongoing projects in various phases of development and we are ready for our biggest challenge yet: delivering the carbon capture plant at the Norcem cement plant in Brevik, Norway. This will be the world’s first CO₂-capture facility at a cement plant. Across our organization, from functions like sales and commercial all the way through to technology and projects, we seek people with drive and passion.
Working as an intern
Hallvard Valen came out on top when Aker Carbon Capture opened for a winter internship in January and February 2021. – I have looked at many potential employers, but have to admit that Aker Carbon Capture ranked high on my wish list, Hallvard says.
Hallvard is a top-of-class student currently studying Industrial Economics at the University of Stavanger. – I am super excited to land an internship with Aker Carbon Capture, he says.
Covid-19 has put a halt to many activities, but despite the challenging situation, Aker Carbon Capture has been able to efficiently onboard me and get me up and running with borrowed equipment for a full home office set-up from day one. I think this shows how flexible smaller companies can be, he says with a smile.
